MoonGoat Coffee

Very beautiful inside and lots of places to sit however it was very packed inside. It is definitely a study/work area which made it a little awkward to enjoy catching up with some friends. My strawberry matcha latte (middle drink) was $8.25 which I personally think is overpriced but it was very pleasing to look at. Overall, it’s a very beautiful place but is mainly made up by studying students or people working so seating is limited!

We really like this café and come here often because the food is always good. However, today the portion we received was noticeably smaller, almost half of what it usually is. Hopefully this was just a one-time mistake, because we would love to keep enjoying this place as we usually do

Cool spot for coffee and some bites. Coffee is quick and delicious. The food takes a long time…still waiting. Update on the wait: IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. The BEST Avocado toast I’ve ever eaten! Thank you!

Ordered the iced churro latte, and it was delicious with a great ice-to-milk ratio. I appreciated that it wasn’t overly sweet! There was plenty of parking, and they had some tables inside and outside where you could stay and get work done. However, I wish their seating was more comfortable and the tables were larger. It would make the space much more inviting.

The food sucks. I ordered 11$ avocado toast and the bread wasn’t toasted enough so it was drooping as I was trying to eat it. My son ordered a pizza dish and he didn’t like it. My son was still hungry after a couple of bites of his pizza dish and wanted to order something else . I had to say no to him and get some food from Panera . Fortunately the tea was good and so was the coffee . There was plenty of comfy places to sit. Ppl are nice . But I just cannot justify the price and quality of the food

MoonGoat Coffee Roasters by UCI blew me away—way beyond what I expected from a campus-adjacent spot. The vibe is effortlessly cool with a spacious setup both indoors and out, making it perfect whether you’re posting up with your laptop, catching up with a friend, or grabbing something quick before hopping on the freeway. Shoutout to Marco, the barista magician who not only pulled a gorgeous flat white but was kind enough to let me film him mid-pour—latte art on point! He even took the time to heat up my croissant just right—crispy on the outside, buttery and warm inside. It’s the little things like that that make a place memorable. There are food options, great parking, plenty of seating, and it’s steps from campus. I love that it feels like a real café experience, not just a student hangout. Totally coming back.

The staff here are always friendly, the coffee is excellent, and the space is clean and welcoming. Byron always makes my visit even extra special—thank you! Overall, Moongoat is a great spot and my go-to in Irvine.
